Upper Elementary School

     Art classes provide increased opportunities to explore various media, including drawing, painting, photography, textiles, and sculpture. Students learn fundamental art-making skills while developing critical and creative thinking skills to solve problems and make meaning work. Their experience is enhanced by integrating art history, art criticism, technology, and, most importantly, authentic critiques to push them further. Students will also establish a continuing portfolio to record visual work, and assess growth.
